Default Focus 2012 TDCi sump plug

Hi guys,

I want to do my own oil change, however unsure which nut under the engine that drains the oil. There's a funny looking round nut that looks like a little sunflower bolted to a black coloured sump, would that be the one?

Any help is much appreciated.

What size is the washer that you need to use?

Not sure what size the washer is but it has a part number of 9M5Q 6734 AA.

The plug (if you have the right one) if it looks like a flower then it has a torx head T-45 (I think it'd be) so you'll need torx bits.

I tried an M14x1.5 as suggested by the SCA website and it was too big...I ended up re-using the existing plug and used the rubber gasket from the new plug which created a decent seal.
Does anyone know the sump plug size?
Unless the wrong plug was put in the packet?...

Went to Repco today, they said it’s an M12, sounds about right, out of stock though.
