Default The Mother Energy Racing Team - Open Day

OPEN DAY

TEKNO AUTOSPORTS & TEKNO PERFORMANCE

V8 SUPERCAR DRIVER JONATHON WEBB

THE MOTHER ENERGY RACING TEAM

SUNDAY 5TH JUNE 2011

Hi All,

On Sunday 5th June 2011 V8 Supercar Driver Jonathon Webb and the Mother Energy Racing Team in conjunction with Tekno Performance are having an Open Day to celebrate the opening of their new workshop in Stapylton, Qld.

Tekno Autosports and Tekno Performance are opening their doors to give you a behind the scenes look at the headquarters of the Mother Energy Racing Team and Tekno Performance.

As part of the activities the XR6 & XR8 Club of Qld & Early Falcon Car Club of Queensland have been invited to put on Club Displays and participate in a Show and Shine Competition.

In an inspiring show of camaraderie and sportsmanship a number of V8 Supercar Drivers have come together in support of fellow driver and cancer sufferer Jason Richards.

Richards was diagnosed with Adrenocortical Carcinoma (ACC) in November 2010, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. This form of cancer is so rare that there are only three other known cases of the illness in Australia so make a donation and Mothers Energy racing will match it.

The Mother Falcon will be on display, come speak to the Mother crew and come and meet V8 Supercar Driver Jonathon Webb, he will be signing autographs on the day.

You will also see great displays by Herrod Motorsport, Ford, FPV, Sydney Seadoo, BMC Road Cycles, Arai, Rudy Project, Mothers Car Care and OMP Race Gear.

Free entry - Bring the family; there will be free Coca-Cola products, face painting and a jumping castle for the kids as well as a sausage sizzle.

So don’t miss your chance of getting a behind the scenes look of this new facility, simply donate a gold coin to support Jason Richards in his battle with cancer and Tekno will match your donation. It will be a great day and all for a great cause.

Hi All,

The XR Club rolled up with 45 cars from the club for the Grand Opening of Tekno Motorsport, well today was simply an awesome day. On behalf of the Club Exec I would like to thank each and every member and their families, both old and new who came out today and supported this great occasion.

I would like to thank the event organisers, Trisha Davidson and her husband, Jonathan and Kobe Webb and the entire Tekno – Mother’s Motorsport Team for inviting our club to participate in this great occasion and we would love to support this day again if it became an annual event.

It was the XR Club pleasure to donate $200.00 of our club funds on top of the donations made by club members to the appeal for Jason Richards.

Congratulations to Bill Cook for taking out yet another award. Well deserved, I did not know you could fit that much polished aluminium and chrome under a bonnet. Well done mate and to all the other winners on the day it truly was a great effort from all the clubs who displayed their cars on the day.

It was great to meet some many famous people and I must say for me personally apart form meeting Jonathan Webb it was great to meet Rob Herrod from Herrod Motorsport, thanks mate with the great products you offer for the new GT you have the potential to keep me in the red for years. Thanks Rob.
