Default Calder 24/08/07 infield (Falcon Night)

Next week Friday the 24/08/07 is Falcon night at Calder Park I have organized for approximately 20 cars to run from the infield as a club.
Running from the infield allows you to run once every 30 mins starting from 6.30pm.
Because this is Falcon night the quickest ET by a Falcon on the night will receive a $250 cash prize, the best reaction time by a Falcon will receive a $100 cash prize these prizes are open to all entrants of Calder who drive a Falcon on the night.
This is a Calder Park incentive.
List your name if you are a 100% starter, no maybes I hate seeing others miss out because of members dropping out or not making the commitment to turn up.
Get set for a night of fun list your name and I will add you to the list.

edit;
AFF Admin are giving away 12 months Free Donating Membership status to one person on the list, 1 name will be picked out of a box by Laminge or myself...

Is mine considered a falcon? I guess I could tape up the TE50 and people will just think its a falcon : Count me in.

t2te50 - are you done porting those heads? low 14s on the stocky is looking pretty good. you are hunting 347s but are you game enough to hunt the 342s?

Its big, gates open 4.30 to 5pm racing starts at 6pm, infield racing starts 6.30pm every 30 mins.
$40 to race.

================================================== ================================================

Just got some paper work for the pro street shout out.
Russell Boyd is the CEO and it states he is committed to fixing all areas of Calder Park and the return road will be fixed in time for the Pro Street Meet on the 27th of October.

================================================== ===========================================

I have been advised there is to be no drifting on the way back to the infield when returning from your run via the back of the circuit, this has become a problem with car clubs racing from the infield.

Spooly for those of us who don't really know Calder well can you give us some directions on how to get to the infield and how to return to it after our run.

Good question. I had assumed we'd just line up at the normal spots except we get a line to ourselves. But doesn't sound like it now??

I'm going to try get in earlier and do a couple of runs around 6 before every man and his dog gets there so let us know the directions prior. Thanks.

Unless it's changed since I had an infield session, you drive up past everyone waiting in the usual queue (to indignant stares because they don't get to do the same) up and around the back of the staging area into the infield. At the end of a run, you have two options. Get your slip then repeat the previous directions, or if you know you sucked, sweep around for a bit of track action before returning to the infield.

Spooly can correct me if it has changed.

Hahah, yeah - I saw the no drifting bit in your earlier post. Do they still mark infield cars so they know who can and can't go there?
