Hey guys the rubber grommet in my EB that sits around the antenna has fallen off at some point. It actually looks a lot better and I want to keep it this way.. will it be fine without the grommet or does it serve a minor purpose such as keep water out and prevent long term rust under the guard or something like that..?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

No crappy dried up black wart protruding out the surface. Looks more square, less plastic and more old school!!
