Default Anyone able to contact JMM?

Hello guys, I know Jim Mock Motorsport collapsed about a year or two ago, but I'm trying to get in contact with them but their email address isn't working but their site is still up.

I'm curious if they have any of those high comp pistons sitting around that they advertised around 2011? 11.5 comp or something.

Does anyone know an email address I can contact them on or their personal email address? If they could PM me that so I can contact them that would be great, thanks much.

Just deck the block or shave the head to get that comp

EG Head with a Few Shaves


Higher Comp Head - we can even take more off and then redrill the manifold holes


But you will end up with this issue lol

I got a CMS Stage 3 head with 2a cam, but my bottom end is toast i've got low comp across all 6, only 125psi and cylinder 1 is only 110psi.

Bottom end needs a rebuild, I got spool forged rods here.

I'm assuming if I build it to standard comp but with forged components I can run boost later on safely and more than the safe 8 psi but still have a decent engine with my head/cam package and exhaust with no turbo?

Low Comp for BOOST
High Comp for N/A

SO you decide which way you want to build your engine................

If I was going to add boost to my car I wouldn't be building a short term High Comp Engine

I'm having trouble deciding:

- If I went high comp wouldn't I need aggressive cams and the thing would idle like **** etc?
- Easier build - bottom end/top end

Boost:

- Easier power
- more complicated setup and tune

ProEF use to idle like a pig with a Microtech LTX-8
We upgraded the ecu to an Autronic SM4 and it idled like stock
We transferred the 1521a cam from it to CobraMont which has a Moates J3 Chip and it idle's just the same as tuned by MPE on Friday

So basically if your Ford NA 6cyl is idling like a pig then either your ecu can not handle the base idle or your tuner doesn't know what he is doing.

Standard compression is like 9.3:1 right?

If I built a forged engine with 9.3:1 comp, would that still give me the freshen up it needs and run a half decent number at the rears with my mods with the ability to run some decent boost later? It did 138KW at the rears with my mods on the totalled bottom end.

Looking at Spool Import's site it seems their forged pistons are 8.5:1?

If you get it around the 9.5:1 range then add boost, run e85 and it will love it.

JMM doesn't exist anymore so I guess boost.

I'm thinking about getting a bottom end in good condition from the wreckers and chucking it in for now then building the original engine on a stand, I'm assuming this will save rego issues later down the track.

Is this something I should attempt myself? I got tools, torque wrench and a stand but I've never done an engine before.

http://www.pureperformancemotorsport.com/ used to do the pistons for them,according to there website they still do the 12:1 comp pistons

12:1 is pretty high, that would be E85 territory?

Also don't these engines have an issue with that high compression?

they have a few different Comp ratio from 8.0:1 or 8.5:1 or 9.0:1 or 10:1 or 11:1 or 12:1
