Default Escort "Sprint Pack" more info reqd

I have recently purchased a 1980 2L 4 door, with cloth trim and 'escort' printed through the fabric. I have been told this is a "Sprint Pack", which was released in late 1980. I am trying to find out some more information if anyone can assist. ie. what did it include, how many sold etc. It appears to have some of the similar feature to the earlier Rally Packs like front and rear spoiler and tacho dash, but information on the net seems to be fairly limited. Thanks

i was going to say it sounded like a Rally Pack to me. I havent heard of a Sprint Pack, but that doesnt mean they dont exist. Try the classic ford forums as they are more focused on small classic fords and there are some very knowledgeable people there.

There were numerous "packs" offered to Escort buyers at the time. The most common were the GS Rally pack which was later called the Sports pack. There was also the Fashion pack with stripey seats and not much else. Then there was the Demin pack with a very dodgy cloth interior.
Get onto someone who sells car brochures. I'm sure they would have something about it. You could even try car magazine around the time of your car as they were usually flogged to death in newsprint.

The "Denim Pack" was also known as the "Fashion Pack" believe it or not.
Kind of strange really as there was nothing fashionable about the interior colour scheme.....Not even back then!!

I think it would be Sports Pack ... I've never heard of Sprint Pack in an Eski.

The Sprint Pack is similar to a rally pack except with TF Cortina seats trimed in "ESCORT" fabric the advertising brochures had drawings of Colin Bond on them all done on silver paper. We have one in our club.
