Hmm, interesting but wtf is up with that rear suspension? Looks worse than EF stock ride height!

I'm not a fan of that two tone paint in the second photo, the blue and beige looks terrible - like youve been driving on a dirt road and didnt wash it.

Shame there's no interior pics.

hmm that middle pic isn't great. i didn't think that a visual upgrade would happen this time around.

interesting name for the interior too....

The BA LWB's just never looked right. As a side note, I think Ford ( or was it Autoweb?) need a new photographer. Very amateurish shots.

The rear end on the LWB BA's look way too downmarket. As do the fronts.... Looks like a tarted up Falcon...

Not too bad. But Im also not a big fan of the two-tone colour, and the high ride height...

A black one on chromies and dumped a few inches would be good

Looks terrible with that ride height at the rear and overall, fix that up and it wouldn't be too bad IMO. I bet Ford can't wait for the new body shape to fix the look of the Fairlane in general though.

Looks ok
Great now to hear though that the DVD system is now standard. Finally caught up to holden there.

The chromey bits all over them now makes them look a bit old school like an NF/L and i dont mind the pewter g220 two tone, but the other one isnt that nice. Ahh wells they arent a volume seller anyways, I've seen more Taxi and VHA versions of the BA fairlane than actual Private buyer cars (One of which I rear ended!)

I don't think there are any ride-height issues, it looks like bad photography instead.

It would have been nice to see some real technological progress instead of the usual paint/trim colours crap. Maybe next time.

I wonder if we'll see anyone ripping out that onyx coloured console thingy into garden models. It looks good.

And whats up with only a 220kw engine in these things. Why not a 260kw ???

The Fairlane and LTD are a joke.
My Dad's thinking of getting a new Caprice and when i went to have a look at one with him i was very impressed.

Come on guys, it's not that bad. You got to remember they are working on a limited budget for LWB this time round, everything was spent on BA SWB.
Ride height looks ok to me ??

my dad drives a NL concorde and was thinking of trading up.

it was so funny. where at dale ford and dad says to the salesman wheres the new fairlane.the guy points one out. dad whispers to me"this guy dosnt know what his on about thats not a fairlane it looks like a fairmont"then when he found out it was he was spewin.he said "ive been byin fairlanes since 1974 and this is the second time im goin to the holden dealer in that time"

the last time was when the ZL came out and he found out he couldnt have a V8 lol

The interior and the instrumentation looks ok, as do the little touches such as the ghia label on the hubcaps

G260 has a nice ring to it....!

I actually think they're some worthwhile even if minor changes & I think having the option of lighter coloured seats is a good thing.

It looks better (except the two tone paint) and the interior distinction between the Falcons and Fairmonts is much better. Should be enough to maintain sales of 100+ per month, but it's not going to set the world on fire.

Shame they didn't go any further with performance of the G220.
