Hey,

You should read what that circus performer wrote about me on the other site

All I've done is show you guys the best look at FH

I am pretty sure the picture posted of the front grille showing XR badge location is a good indication of what engine the Turbo models will have.

Throught the grille you can clearly see an intercooler mount bolt which indicates the car has an intercooler fitted. The small XR6T cooler sits well below this bolt on an FG. The F6 cooler sits higher then this mount bolt and can be seen through the top grill.

Unless we are getting an Ecoboost XR, the above imo is a pretty good indicator of what engine the XR6T will get.

But that will cost them more to make which means they will have to charge more for the xr6t and even less people will buy it?

I can see Ford using the F6 motor as they have usually quoted the XR6T power outputs around 20kW below the XR8's...

BA/BF - 240/260
FG - 270/290
FH - 310/335

they may possibly offer a power pack like i suggested a few pages back, like seems to now be a rumour with the XR8 too. Base pack 270, power pack, bigger brakes wheels etc and 310. Who knows. I'd find it very unlikely to see every XR6T coming out with a 310. Even if it does, it'll probably be reworked to achieve that without having to use F6 motors, like they did with the FG 270kw motor.

But why stuff about with a "power pack" just offer the best you have best you wont have long to be recovering costs! More inventory, further complexity etc...

A XR6T at 310 would simply be the greatest BFYB ever..it will stand for years.

offering a power pack is a smart move, and a chance to make some of the final iterations more special - it will give the public options, something they very much like speaking for someone who just bought a new Falcon and was pretty annoyed at the lack of options offered on current models.

But power levels are never options....they are full model differentiation techniques. Which is all fluff anyway, FH should be the most straight to the point release of a vehicle FoA has ever done.

Make the VF look slow, not hard, and offer true value. This whole exercise doesnt really mean jack in terms of FoA making money or not. Give the consumers everything you can for a price that is competitive and it will sell well. Time for play games is well over, aim for the jugular and go out being the top dog.

Brembo's should be really the only decent option other than trim on the XR's IMO. Mainly for w@nk factor.

Its still pretty much the same motor, apart FG F6 having bigger intercooler and turbo to the XRT? In the early days of Ba series XRT's vs Typhoons, there were some internal differences. There hasnt been any other differences in motors for a while now.
