Dam what a shame. Oh well at least we got three awards and the most important " Club Display award". NSW was robbed at AFD 06, so this has brought my spirits up.

It was the RS owners club of Victoria that held the event, I'm pretty sure they know what it is

Awesome work taking out best club display, glad everything we all put together was worth the effort!

Good work on individual winners also, well done.

Has the club won Best Mondeo every year we have entered? Who have been the winners of it, or has one member backed up three in a row?

Timmeh

Looks like everyone had a grand ol`time! Congratulations on the Best Club Display award! Successful title defending!

Wish I could've been there as I spent a good part of the day getting drenched in rubbish juice and cutting up vegetables!

Just thought I would take and post a picture of our trophy. That is 2 years in a row. Next year we will be back better and win it again for a hat-trick. Thanks for everyone's involvment. Hopefully more pictures will get posted. It was really hot on the day so I don't blame many people for not taking photo's.

Thanks! No, I'm not really a photographer, just a happy-snapper posing as one. If you take enough photos, one or two are bound to turn out nice, yes?

Well done guys - looks like it was a great day and the rewards show that

I guess they weren't expecting a Cougar - but to hand a Mondeo award almost seems wrong. like, 'oh, we didn't think of you, but here, have this one we're not using.' Either way, great results, and the photos have been great too.

I still stand by my suggestion for next year's club display: helium-filled blow-up love dolls wearing Ford bikinis floating above each car.

Only one problem, if Danny comes along, we might be short one blow up doll. But i'm sure we'll find it in his car! :

That's the beauty of it - we get to keep them afterwards as souvenirs! It'd be nice to have someone in the passenger seat on the drive home. (do I sound like a loser yet?)

I think special mention should also be made of Raymon's LS Focus. The polished wheels, custom leather interior, chrome handles, all on a sexy black car...it's a top look and he has worked hard at it. Top effort.

And of course a big big thankyou to Matt (and Timmeh!!!) for the big effort on the club display.

I must admit, I wasn't 100% convinced on the "Jefferson Ford" style ballons on every car handle, but I was proven wrong!

After all, who can bloody tell what the judges like!!!!!!!

(I'm not bitter...no I am not.................well maybe a little bit...bloody XR5's!)

Finally got back late last night. Just like to give a big thanks to Matt for letting me stay over on extremly short notice and organising everything.

It was good to put faces to nicknames on the forums and socialise with Steve, Danny, Matt, Cougar Boy, Adam, Raymon, Fled and some of the XR5 guys and girls. I had a great time in melbourne, the show was really nice and it was good to have a show for only small ford to keep the "your missing 4cylinders" type of people away.

Good to take out the Best display and best mondeo/cougar. Almost had best Focus but these things happen and there is always next year.

Hope to see a few of the VIC guys come up for Peter Warren. It only took my 2300km and 25hour round trip (I took a detour via the snowy mountains on the way back, it has some awesome bits of road and awesome views to boot).
