On my car around 40 hours, but includes working out how to take things out and pull things apart. I've done it so many times now I could probably do everything in 4-5 hours.

That looks really good mate. You have done an excellent job. Usually I am sceptical of folk 'improving' the looks of their cars with lighting, but this is top workmanship. Well done.

Dredging up an old topic!

That is sweet as man...I'm pretty handy with a soldering iron, is it just a case of taking the dash cluster out, de-soldering the old LEDS and soldering the new ones in?

Sounds good Brad. Finish exams on the 3rd of November so any time after that. Working 6 days a week though, so I'll have to book you in on a weeknight or something. I'm in the stages of finishing up a brochure with BlackLS about the services that are offered so I'll post it up here when it's all done. Hopefully be making a website too, if we get a few jobs under our belts. So anybody that wants it done, contact either me (Regan) in Melbourne, at melbdash@gmail.com, or contact BlackLS (Chris) in Sydney at syddash@gmail.com.

Thanks guys!!!
Regan

I'll definatly have to have this done to my car.. I just wired up the washer leds on the weekend (finally) and i've got an led undercar kit sitting at home ready to be installed. Its been sitting there for months now. Blue interior to match would be great. Also considered putting in some more blue leds in the rear to lighten up the backas it is just too dark even with the interior lights on.

Yep that's pretty much it, except they use a variety of LEDs for different components.

Forgot to mention. We come to you ;).

Simon if you want me to do the interior lights I can do that too. I did mine and they look like this:

Just drilled holes in the caps that go over the screws on the B,C and D pillars. Then wired them up to the overhead light with a 5A fuse. They come on when the overhead lamp comes on, except they don't come with when the overhead one is switched on manually.

They're the ones you need for the cluster, stereo and HVAC controls. The headlight and window switches you need 5mm (headlight switch) long leg LEDs, and 3mm (window switches) long legs.

Gonna want to hope you haven't. ~$750 +GST for a replacement, then the programming fee from Ford. I enquired one day as to the cost of a new one, knocked on my a.. with the answer!!
Pretty hard to break though.

ok so i got the new leds and put them all on(it looks great) they are all working fine however now the yellow engine warning light comes on? it came on before when i first took the unit appart but it turned out to just be a loose connection in the plug that goes into the cluster. I can still drive it so i'll take another look when i get home from work, Any ideas?

Yeah that should reset itself after a day or 2, otherwise, go to a mech and they should be able to reset the codes in 2 mins with a OBCII connector.
