It has to be a Toyota! But... get something a bit more interesting then a Camry or standard Corolla...

I myself decided to get a ST162 Celica SX for my first car. Light and easy to use controls, great visibility, and a beautiful engine with a great gearbox (manual). On top of this, fuel consumption is great, the car looks good, and it has electric windows, electric mirrors, electric sunroof, air-conditioning, not much else I need.
