It's from the Ford.com.au website and it's been there for months with no updates at all.

These are some photos I took in the states last year of the Mondeo. From all the snippets etc. that I have seen here of the front and back of the new falcon so far, I am really starting to think the new Falcon will have a lot of these styling cues.

It'll have similar themes but any car enthusiast will be able to pick the difference between the two.

I've seen the new Mondeo in the metal a few times and there's no doubt that the photos don't do it justice. It's amazing looking! It's also utterly ridiculous that it's not even on sale yet (even in Europe!!!)

I've never seen one in the metal, but even the photos alone is enough to convince me that I want the new Mondeo as my next car.

Good Morning Everyone

Just wanted to thank you for viewing my article on the new Falcon. I understand that we are simply speculating at this current point in time regarding the specifics of the Falcon and its depicted image. I personally am very excited to see all the features of the new Falcon once Ford decides to show it off. Until then ill keep an eye on the forum as typically you guys find out information before we do

Rented one last year when I was in Hawaii. Even the 1.6L Ecoboost went pretty well. They look great and the boot is almost as big as the current Mondeo. I love the Hatch's boot space in the MA-MC model line up.

Here's the pic from the City Ford site non-distorted:

I love the chunky side skirt/door detail. Makes the Falcon look so much tougher, always thought the Commodore looked better in that spot. I know it's just an impression.

Not a fan of that LWB pictured, the length doesn't work with that styling in my opinion.

Just out of curiosity here, who here will or knows of anyone who will buy the new base model XT Falcon? I own a 2012 Falcon Ecoboost XT and love it, but I think I'll sell my other car (ricer) for the new XR6 Turbo.

Bit sad how no one buys base model Falcon's anymore as mines terrific, I guess people just do it all for the look now, hence why more 'European' imports are bought now...

I see more base model XT BA/BF Falcon's than anyother Falcon model (XR6, XR8 etc etc.) But with the FG I see way more FG XR's than XT's now. As if no family is buying XT's anymore. More caring about the 'classy, sporty' looks.

I think alot of the previous base model Falcon's looked great, EA GL, EF/EL GL. BA XT and the 500 series and XF GL's. Etc etc.

Just a reflecting on our society really...I remember when all my mates dads had Fairmonts and Berlina's for company cars....with greeny regs and fuel costs its hard for companies to justify large sedans.

That and small cars are pretty capable machines these days, before they were gutless, tinnie and generally drab.

As well as you'll notice most of the earlier Falcon commercials right to around BA had the base models in the advertisements as the base models were the volume sellers to family's, companies, and the government. It's the good days when family bought a basic, reliable and roomy Falcon, sedan/wagon. For everyday family needs, traveling, school runs, work etc etc, towing, camping.

And all the old folks need more coddling with gadgets than XT provides and see value in feature lists of 'thing's they'll use at least on a annual basis.

When the XR went to the pricing it did the XT wasn't gonna be in contention. Mind you the XT was more of a Fleet car anyway....except now Fleets moved to other makes.

The base model Falcon's, 500, GL, XT etc etc, was the volume sellers for Ford, they were the cars everyone bought and the odd oldie or rich man bought a Fairlane, LTD or Fairmont.

But families did perfect with a base model Falcon having everything and all the basics they needed for everyday motoring. Having hubcaps and all that didn't seem to bother a modern day family. Plus the less tech, the less to go wrong = more reliable. Fleets kept buying then, families just started to stop by going for something that looks more 'upmarket' for around the same price.

And what year are you living in here ?.

Do you really think Ford should make and market car's as if it were yesteryear >

VZTRT hit the nail on the head, the XR become the price point to where people preferred to shop over the base model.
