Did anyone else venture to Coolangatta on the weekend to see the cars at Wintersun??
I went down there on Saturday & oh wow, there were so many absolutely beautiful cars on show. It’s for pre 1974 vehicles only, next year for sure I have to have an old school car for it, it was an awesome day. My parents enter every year & this year they took their 1960 Pontiac Ventura down. My dad’s mate took his 59 Chrysler Imperial also & I reckon that his car was one of the most photographed cars there. It actually won Best 50’s car, it really is a credit to him what he has done to that car to bring it back to life. I’ve attached a few pictures but will post more up when my parents get back & send me the other pictures, sorry about the not so fantastic quality, I took these with my mobile. I'd have to say the Challenger is one of my favourites!!!! Cheers Kristy.

In the perfect world, my XB would be good enough to bring there and people would be like "its for PRE '74 cars" and I would be like "December 1973 XB Fairmont. Kiss my ***"

I have been going there for the last few years, but i missed this 1 :
There are always nice "ALL STEEL" cars there. I also like the way most of the people dress in there rocknroll gear : I will be back there next year, always have a good time and see some great classic cars and rods :eclipsee_ Jim |

I was there. My father has his 64 Dodge there every year with the car club.
If anyone has pics of these cars they were my pick: Early Model Orange/Red Mustang with BDS Supercharger higher than the roof. EJ Holden PanelVan, Std Looking with V8 308 & GTS Wheels on it 57 Buick And for something different did anyone see the mobile DJ/Trance/Dance guy in his Transit Van. What a setup. Not my type of thing but was a good for something different. |
