The Police do a difficult job, but must make sure they never represent to the public a breach of the law which they use as an instrument of law enforcement.

Yeah- bit lateral- and a bit of a reach as PG2 pointed out.

In any event it would appear that the NSW Police did not misrepresent anything and that there was likely a P plater who had the necessary endorsement to drive the vehicle.

I further do not want to go into the specifics of why there is tangential similarities because I am involved with an AFP matter and would rather pull stumps and tap out at this point.

It's been shown that the photo was a joke and taken by one of the HWP officers involved, the car wasnt driven or used with P plates on it. There's also a fully marked HWP car right next to it that has been cropped out of the image.

The badges are also not changed, it is an XR6T and thus has those badges.
