Seek seems to be the best for contacting an employer via email and phone, careerone is good but I find a lot of ads are taken from the newspaper and have little to no info more than "wanted such and such apply to this email".

Ye SEEK seems to be the best at what they do.....Mind you the job market is pretty tough at moment and its only going to get worse.

IMO all these job search websites most of the jobs don't exist, it's just agencies trying to fill their books with candidates. Never once in my life have I got a job from a newspaper, a job site, the CES or whatever. it's always been word of mouth or who you know where etc.

Phil67 you are absolutely right, can't get a damn labouring job now days without going through a big employment firm I have had that happen in the past, no job just join us and we will get you one.

But thats what sucks you can be the best qualified for a job but if you don't know the right people, the uncles son will get the job instead qualified or not.

Spot on tut0r, scammmmm. I've had instances where I get the generic reply that I'm not what their client is after despite my resume being more than what they need. I always email them back and ask them why as I have met all the demands in the advertisement and that I would like to know so I can better myself in getting a job. I rarely get a reply, hahah.

It's also why i think the unemployemnt figures aren't accurate, they take them from the amount of jobs advertised and who replies to them.

Have to make our own job, what should we do? Bikini shop sounds good
