Thanks to my good mate Kev for announcing the arrival of our 1st baby.
Thankyou all for your kind thoughts.
I was going to put it up but i have been flat out running around organizing things, as he was induced 3 weeks early due to complications with Jenni's liver called Cholestasis, which can be fatal for the fetus.

She had a relatively short labour of 6 1/2 hours, in which i was totally in awe, and couldnt imagine the pain in which she was going through.

I am busy setting up the nursery and organizing things for Jenni to come home.

This is our 1st child at the relatively old age of nearly 37 for me and 31 for Jenni, we both thought that we may never have children.

We are certainly blessed now, with our healthy baby boy Joshua.

Congratulations Cam and Jenni! Given the complications, we are very glad to hear Mum and bubs are doing well! You are going to enjoy being a Dad, Cam, I know you! You and your son will have a blast when he gets older! Hehe.

We hope that things continue to go well for you guys, and that Jenni gets some rest and enjoys her little boy too! I remember chatting to her at the last Heathcote meet, when she was just a few months and I was 5 weeks I think.

Best of luck guys, and hopefully catch up with you soon! Hi to Jenni!

Jac and Eamon

PS that is a very good size baby for 3 weeks prem! He is going to be a big boy by the sounds of it! My son was 10 pound 2 weeks early and he is still a very big boy at 8 years! Apparently this one is going to be a big boy as well, doc is predicting around 10 pounds again! Phew!

I had never heard of Cholestasis, until yesterday when my daughter aged 33 was diagnosed with it. It is their first child (our first grandchild) and happens by C-Section tomorrow, three weeks premature. Very similar to your case apart from delivery method.
Obviously it is pretty serious, as they seem to move pretty quick when it is diagnosed.
Glad it worked out well for the three of you.
