Default Integrated Diagnostic Software

I have come accross a copy of Integrated Diagnostic Software is it worth getting ? can the 16 pin connector to the car/lap top be bought ?

You can buy a an OBD cable from eBay for around $14..

I don't think IDS work with the cheap OBD Cables. It need something like the Ford ROTUNDA Tool.
