Default Help needed

I am the proud owner of a 00 AU LTD V8 and have just aquired a new dash cluster, but it is a new AUII one which is identical in every way, can anyone help me out into its installation in my vehicle.

I believe there may be only a few different changes re the digital read out.

All comments appreciated.

If the cluster is S2 and your car is S1 then you just wasted your money. It'll fit but won't work properly. You need a S1 cluster to match a S1 car.

Well i don't know if it's different in fairlane-land, but i know in the falcons you can put an AUII cluster into an AUI and vice versa. Trust me, i had an AUI cluster in my AUII for a week or so to diagnose a transducer issue.

It's my understanding that the extra guages in the Fairlane/XR/"sports" cluster are wired slightly differently so a couple of your ancillary guages won't work properly.

There's an article on fordmods about swapping clusters between low and high series cars; there may be some useful info there on swapping between AU1 and AU2/3 as well.

One difference in the falcons is that the AU1 gets an oil pressure gauge, whereas AU2/3 get an idiot light (converted to look like a gauge).

G'day fellow LTD owner, as JC said it can be done but the oil presure gauge is wired different you'll probably need to get a new sender for that also,... but seriously why would you want to? I'd rather have the "real" oil pressure gauge myself.
Just curious what colour is your beast?
