Default Figured you guys would have an idea...

I've been chasing another 3.45LSD for my EL XR6...

allford.com.au (VIC) say that can do a reco'd one for $880 incl delivery to NSW..

I've asked about any warranty and what has been done to it.

If it is reco'd and in good nick, is this a decent price?

Anyone dealt with allford.com.au before?

Cheers

That doesn't seem to bad. Secondhand ones straight from wrecks seem to go from anywhere between $500-600 depending on k's.

So the fact that its rebuilt, and delivered is probably worth $200 easy I would have thought.

Yea that's what I was thikning..

They got back to me:

They supply the diff housing with reconditioned centre,
new bearings and clutches, and gears if neccessary.
Using my own axles.

That comes with 6 months warranty.

Seems not too bad from looking around...?

Well, I've decided to go for it...I got him to include the axles etc.. in the price too, to make things a little easier, so it's a complete assembly.

I had a read of the Gregories, and it looks easier than I thought to remove the diff. I guess all I'll need to do is swap over the brake assembly etc, which shouldn't be too difficult, and find someone in town with a press to do the axle bearings.

Looking forward to this little project!
