The hassle involved in taking them off now and again (especially when the nut inside the bracket comes out), plus the replacement cost of them $100 for the entire set if you split something as simple as the rubber. The perspex scratches, and you somehow still get bugs behind them.
Breakup is not pretty, neither is seeing your light glass coming at your windscreen when you hit an eagle doing 180kph.

The ones I fitted to the XR8 after the eagle incident don't have nuts with the bracket,it is the nut.

As for the bugs they get sucked into the negative pressure area after coming in through the splitter area.

Default Thanks for the huge response

So I am with Grunter on this, it was just kinda pathetic the responses I got from work people, you turn up in a Ford, they knock it.

Then they drive um mazda's and then the start picking on little in-material little things like head light covers.

Cost factor of $400 for replacement light, well ain't pretty.

So common sense is like what Grunter said" They do look sweet on silver".

And thanks for your great input NRG 290.
John McMaster thanks for your input.
davocol thanks for your input.

To all the rest Cheers and many thanks.

They all look shite IMO.

More importantly, they reduce the brightness of your headlights by something in the order of 20%.
