Default Bonnet Hood Gas Strut

Hi

I have a 2013 Ford Mondeo MC Station Wagon 2.3 petrol ...

Because of my physical disability, I struggle to lift the bonnet. My wife also has difficulty opening it.

Our bonnet doesn't have gas struts, but I have found a Gas Strut lifter kit for Ford Mondeo mk4 2007-14 (no drilling/welding) on eBay. Just wondering if anyone has experience adding gas struts to Ford Mondeo bonnets. Would these struts be safe? Any suggestions?

That sort of kit should be fine - just make sure there is some adjustability in the level of assistance otherwise it will be hard to close!

Thanks. I'll ask the seller if that's possible. If it isn't, and it's difficult to close, I guess I'll have to attach some sort of rope to pull it down.
