Pedantic. Who cares.. let them call them what they want.
I heard of an XC V8 for sale that someone I knew was going to check out. If still available, I'll grab the info I'll pass it over in a PM.

Just to add fuel to the fire, I believe Hardtop was only used if a soft-top was an option. Which in this case it was it was a coupe based off a sedan
You will be looking at a resto at that price, but you could pick up a nice XA GS sedan for that coin.

I'm pretty sure ford never marketed any 2 door Falcon (in Oz any way) other than Hardtop.
I think it refers to the fact that if it does not have a B pillar, then it is referred to as a hardtop. I think even 4 door sedans without a B pillar can also be called a Hardtop??? I had a beautiful XB years ago and referred to it as my hardtop, but others said coupe, didn't bother me too much.

Yep. Amen.
Just semantics. I refer to them as Coupes but whether they're called Coupes, Hardtops, Tudors, 2 Door Sedans WHO GIVES A RATS...... just enjoy the cars. To the OP, what you're after with your budget is a pretty tall order. Good luck but you may have to revise your expectations.

25k will get you a nice 2 door v8 xa xb xc, but it will have a really big and open boot compared to a hardtop.
