Greetings,
Well didn't we all have a fun day....!! Dougie in his German Cortina, MOTIV8 and I in the "go-kart" and Seagull in the Combo all made for a lot of laughs..... The Cooke meister was the champ for our club, and it will be interesting to see where he finished in the final tally of things- I only took a copy of our sheets.......... The silent but deadly award goes to AUXRVIII who let me tell you was hot on their heels.... Seagull even put GT stripes on his Combo, and he discovered folding in the mirrors gave him an extra second, and MOTIV8 proved the drive it like you stole it theory....... and also that to be only be less than 3 secs off the pace on the back track in a 105kw car (downhill with 30 knot tailwind) against the 6's and 8's is no mean feat..... I'm off for tyres first thing Tuesday.......... I'll have to wait in line behind 1600GT after his smoke filled effort......  P.S Pics are on the website..

what were cookys times for the 3 courses, just want to compare
mine were course 1 (left side of skid pan) 35.2 approx, cant remember this 1 course 2 (right side skid pan) 28.88 back circuit, 48.30 Ron XR5T |

another top day at DECA!!
and yep, i got a bit carried away with the handbrake and right foot... very un-like me!!  : looks like i'll be going thru 'craigs' scrap tyre stack again soon for some more DECA tyres i guess. BTW... damn that XR5 was quick. great little car. |

Great day it was, Doug in the Vee Dub produced a great nail biter in the VB challenge
 , probably was my highlight of the day.Damn wheezer decided to go to sleep during one of my runs ruining my day, may have to take it down the back and give it what for  out:Well done Cookie, thanks for the loan of the helmet, may have to start refering to him as Mr Consistancy. Also a big thanks to 1600GT for the performance enhancing race tape  : Make sure you bring it next time.

Yep another great day at DECA . A big thanks to all the organsers. Had a ball with 55kw, boy Sean got a bit carried away with the race tape and the GT stripes. A late change of putting down the ariel and folding in the rear vision mirrors knocked a second off the back track - thanks Kaz. Make sure you all come along to the next one as these are events are to be enjoyed by all. Seems Cookie was in form again - well done.

Poor tyre 1600GT!!!! Or whats left of it!!!!  At least the old girl had a final fling before you fling it off for ever!!  :

that wagon moves along
i wasn't in the grove for the left side, gave up using the handbrake after that side as it unsettled the car, the bit of water at the last cone made things fun also. my run on the back track was a good run, the car was moving around alot, had the tail out exiting the chicanes |
