XR Falcon Downshift Linkage

Gday, I am hoping that someone with an XR with 3 speed BW35 auto can either advise me or take a pic of the downshift control rod linkage on the carby and show me where it connects to at the firewall end, and what it is actually for. I have put a 200 with auto in my XL ute and this is the last thing I am trying to work out. Thanks.
