Cheers for the clarification,
Was under the impression they were 8 3/4.
Back in the day i helped with several conversions of these from the Centuras into the Small Fords.
Mainly Capris who had the Castlemain Rod Shop conversion kits.
The LSD versions were a cheaper alternative, to the more expensive 9 inch, which had to be shortened.
On the Subject of the Cortinas, i had a daily driver,TF Cortina that i tweaked with the old 4.1 crossflow, ran low thirteens - with the Borg Warner rear end, gears changed to 3.55.
Rear end held up surprisingly well.
Vehicle would surprise alot of V8's at the time.
