The whole mobile phone thing can get costly if you have multiple cars.
I tried an amaysim $10 plan a while back for a spare phone I had, the thing never had any signal even though it said it was optus, don't think it would be any better strapped under a car seat.
That and most people I know disconnect batteries for storage on their classics.
I've put my time and effort in the initial security of the cars so hopefully they don't go anywhere in the first place.
