I have followed your path in my previous planning but Bells Line of Road at Lithgow is where progress is stopped by Great Western Highway. There doesn’t seem to be a way to get onto Magpie Hollow Rd without using ~2 km’s of GWH (FWIW have driven through this area a couple of times).

Same with Mt Victoria and down through Cox River Rd which is also impeded by GWH.

I don’t see a non-highway way, not even overland using the Land Cruiser.
