Sorry to revive an old thread, but I'm also having VCT oil leaks on my 2001 AUII Fairlane Ghia, i6.



Pulled the VCT solenoid off, found an orange o-ring that looked too loose, and a very squashed, flat black washer around outside (ie where the solenoid and housing mate up). The washer looked handmade, indicating a previous attempted repair.



Can anyone tell me (or show me) what o-ring and washer the VCT solenoid actually requires?


Mine is leaking from the plug, and possibly the washer. If I could find a replacement AU VCT solenoid, I'd be all over it, but can only seem to find BA onwards.


Any help would be appreciated!
