The Silicone will eventually eat the alloy and make the leak worse.
Can use silicone on the rocker-cover but NOT on the
VCT Assembly Housing.
Use PERMATEX ANAEROBIC FLANGE SEALANT for VCT AssemblyHousing.
I should have know. First time i removed VCT housing there was no silicon.
Just a smooth surfaces with some staining.
Buy PERMATEX ANAEROBIC FLANGE SEALANT at Covs (Coventrys).
Less than $30 and should seal that VCT Solenoid Housing like glue.
Doing the job again soon, will let you know how well it works.
