Asked as to why i dont go for a lazer line. I used to do service work in functioning offices. You cannot be running lazers in places that regular people are in because of pubic liability. Mark the floor with tape, plumb it up. Results. Realistically, the process for doing a row of downlights was measure and mark the floor with tape for the first and last. Plumb them up, a screw in the 1st and last, builders string between both pulled taught. Measure and mark the rest along the string. Not that difficult. Also, apart from running lazers in areas that arent dedicated building sites, a string stung between 2 screws in the gyprock cannot be knocked like a lazer line can be if its on the ground and throw things out.
