Of course when I made my adapter I already had a Innova 3145 and (bought for US$20.00 when the Australian dollar was at it peak) I had been using with my NB Fairlane (ex Ford Prototype based on the NA) on hand as well as plenty of BCN sockets, rotary switches, on/off switches, project boxes and the like floating around (as I still do) so my only outlay was on the
BCM plug and the OBD1 socket. It probably cost me all of $20.00 out of pocket.
