Guys, remember that AU 1s came with proper, functioning gauges, whereas series 2+ got a dogdy guage, so you may find that series one Fortes use a switch, and series one XRs use a sender, but all series 2+ just use the switch.

Apparently in series 2 (can any series 2 owners confirm this), the gauge sweeps straight up to the 7 mark, and it's either there, or at 0, there is no in between, whereas series 1 sweeps back and forth just like a fuel gauge (I know from experience when my oil pressure was all over the shop).
