So, after doing some googling it appears that a 4x4 ranger is only 2-300kg heavier than an ecoboost mustang?. (I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong there)
The us spec ranger has 40hp less than a mustang eb.
An eb powered raptor would have been a cracker. Then there's the fast growing aftermarket support for the eb internationally.
