These companies have been doing these types of conversions for a very long time and they will have the process very well streamlined. There other companies in other states that also will compete on quailty and price of the conversions.
They may well be able to get cheaper transport, but not enough to make a significant difference to the price.
HSV are doing this to make money so if there are any savings I am sure they will put it straight into their bank account.

There's one big difference.
If HSV gets the support of GM, they will directly import all the cars, convert them and offer then as brand new RHDs.
They may also also get sweetheart deals from some of GM's suppliers for RHD parts.
