Thanks for the info guys, after a bit more research, i found this on the types of dash's found in the Mk1 Escort

- The 1300XL, E, GT & RS2000 had the 6 dial dash with 130mph speedo & 7000rpm rev counter
- The Mexico, Twin Cam & RS1600 had deep dished 6 dial dash with 140mph speedo & 8000rpm rev counters.
- Up to 1970 the volt, battery, oil & volt guages had those word written above each & after 1970, symbols were used!
- Some works cars used 9000rpm rev counters that are VERY rare!
- In 1973 the Mex and RS1600 went to the same 7k rev/130mph instrument style as the RS2000.
