Back when I was young and stupid (about 12 months ago), I'd had a pretty awful day and was doing the 'driving angry' thing. I got to a t-intersection way too f*&king fast - green light, pounce on the brake, hook it in.

It got very sideways. It came out the other side with slightly less rubber, a wide-eyed driver, but luckily still facing forwards and - crucially, I think - the right-way-up. But if I'd braked, or sawed at the wheel [both of which I think are instinctive, and perhaps how the OP reacted] then I reckon I'd have my own series of upside-down-miss-jane piccies.

Okay, I was over-driving it..... but it was pretty surprising :shrug:
