Going into a time of reduced spending everywhere and reduced cash* (*actually, bank credit), they've soldiered on with their platforms, abolished what doesn't sell (sedans) and sold good products at good prices in the segments that are firing. Well done.
One sales report mentioned the Triton numbers were high mainly due to a significant number of the older models being sold for significant discounts. Not due to the popularity of the new model, which they shouldn't have significant stocks of yet. Will be interesting to see if the higher sales figures carry through the next few months though. I'd assume discounting won't be as strong on the new model. They have priced it pretty aggressively though so people who want a cheap ute will look at it.
