The BA has less in common with AU than VF with VE. BA had fuel tank moved, floor pan changed, engines converted from sohc to dohc, whole new range of V8s, nearly 30kw power increase, new windscreen, new rear window, new roof panel, new seat rails, new dash frame, new seats, new windscreen washer bottle, new coolant header tank, new fuse box, new
ECU, new
HVAC, new fly by wire throttle, new brake pedals,new stereo. If you strip down both cars, practically nothing fits apart from doors. Impressive work by Ford, but they could have saved some money by leaving some unnecessary bits unchanged. If only Ford made new doors there would be no link with AU.
