Cortinas from the MK3 in 1971 right up to the Mk5 in 1983 were the most popular selling car in NZ by a country mile. Every 2nd house had one in the driveway I recall. Traffic police used them as well. When the Cortina was replaced by the Telstar and the Sierra wagon it was a sad day in NZ motoring history
