I am pretty sure that Palmers end game was ALP to lose, not for UAP to win a seat. As I understand polictical donation rules, it nots possible for him to donate 60M to the Liberal Party to help them win the election, but he can spend it on himself, or if thats not entirel correct, by running his own campaign, so he has full control over it to send the message he wanted.

Palmer might be crazy, and not popular, but he aint dumb either.
Too bad he couldn't use a bit of that cash to pay his workers entitlements. *****.
