Watch for rough idle on cold start and also signs of power steering fluid boil over as that may indicate a trip to the track (but not necessarily).

Also pay close attention to the condition of the tires as the rear have a tendency to chew the insides and there is not much adjustment you can do and they are a pricey tire due to the odd size .

Also look at the underside of the bonnet and the inner wings. They should be a dull, not shiney finish. If they are gloss it may indicate accident repairs.

Make sure you have all the centre caps for the rims too and a daub of silicon on the inside will make sure they stay there too.

Apart from that they are a great little car and very reliable and awesome to drive, they handle like a go kart.
