The chassis code for a 1600GT should start with CK17 with the next letter being J for 1969 OR K for 1970. If it starts with CK14 then it isn't a GT, but a Deluxe model. Also, as the last 3 1600GTs were built in January 1970, it's highly unlikely to be one of them, though you never know! If you can post the complete chassis number or at least the first 6 characters, I can tell you what month she was built also. eg. CK17JK12345 which means:
C = Australia
K = Homebush (assembly plant)
17 = GT OR 14 = Deluxe
J = 1969 OR K = 1970
K = October
12345 = Production Sequence Number

These 1969 Capri's did have a compliance plate affixed on the right hand side front inner guard, that is, inside the engine bay.
