You're not wrong though, a Mondeo XR5 Turbo would cop a straight line annahilation from a Falcon XT 6-cyl. Considering that for Mondeo XR5 Turbo money you can get an ex-demo 6-cyl Fairmont or a brand new XT V8, I personally wouldn't get the Mondeo. The cheaper models (like the 29990 LX) are top value for money... but the XR5 is too expensive with not enough oomph IMO. If I were to buy a Mondeo now, it would be the TDCi...
