How many Km's is too many?

Hey Lads.
Looking at purchasing an XR8, BA or BF wherever the price is right.
Im planning on the standard bolt on mods, aswell a cam and tune further down the track.
Im wondering when is the boss260 starting to run its time, before it needs some looking at before undertaking such mods. Obviously if its been well looked after, it wouldnt be as much of a concern. But would you be worried about reliability/performance on an engine thats done upwards of 120-150kms?
Any help appreciated..
