Thanks for the rapid responses - I have been traveling for the last couple of days and have not had any web access.

My plan is to put in a Jaycar one temporarily and send the original one to "arronm" to have it repaired and then reinstall.

Thanks also to bossego for the blue wire option. Which I may also follow up on.

I'll let the forum know on how I go.
