Default Re: Genuine Ford Parts

Just wanted to share my experience with GTs pricing. As per my last two posts, I'm in need of a new alternator for my 2013 FGII Ecolpi ute.

GT's price was $370 plus freight.

Dealer doing my work said price was 'about' $500. I told them I could get the part for much cheaper than that and that they'd need to sharpen their pencil a bit.

Called another local dealer who advised retail price was 'around' the high $400 to $500 mark, but he could do it for low $400s for me.

If I didn't need the replacement alternator stat, I'd be purchasing the alternator from GT, even with the freight cost.

Yes, sometimes you can purchase the items elsewhere for less, so it does to pay to shop around, but the prices GT provides are excellent and are, generally, very competitive. And that's even before you consider the great service.

Thanks GT.
