The cars involved are Porsche 987, Mercedes B200 Turbo, Ford Ranger and Ford Fiesta.

Allianz invited renewal at $5000. On line quotes from GIO - $4100, NRMA - $4400. Got one price from Shannons - where I have a policy for some other cars - they wanted $7,500.

Budget Direct - $2,600, with similar excesses, and coverage. It's a compelling price.

Just as an aside, Shannons charge $730 for a Lotus Europa, and a Formula Ford race car, including race cover. I struggle in working out insurance pricing.
