Pinto seemed like the easiest option but like I said still researching at the moment.

What condition is the engine?
As a base for a turbo, you'll need to make sure it is all within tolerances and in great mechanical order.
I'd suggest a new high volume oil pump, possibly with an adjustable pressure relief valve.
Don't forget to install a new camshaft 'spray tube' (many years ago, I did a very special Pinto where I bored and cross drilled the cam for lubrication!)
you'll also need to measure and probably lower the compression ratio.
I also experimented and made alternative spark plug adaptors (needed to use harder plugs for the engine)
Have done lots of work on these motors....
