I saw a local tv news piece on it and in the same shed, parked along side it under a tarp, was a white with blue stripe GT40 that was untouched. I'd guess stolen to order before insurance scam.
Mind you, we're talking about your average 2 bay shed with roller doors that you'd find in thousands of yards all over the country. I don't know about you but if I had 1/2 a mills worth of exotic cars sitting at home they would be secured in something more substantial than your average (unlocked ) Ranbuilt/Olympic/Tru-Steel roller door shed with no alarm system. Which begs the question, what insurance company would cover such vehicles in such an insecure location? His premiums must be scary.
