I have the same trouble and fitted a strap as suggested by others. I also find mine extremely heavy, not sure if I am getting weak or the struts have worn out. I have been looking for motorised struts, surely there are ones on later Mondeo's (mine is a MA)? If not, maybe some other vehicle would have them that would fit? If anyone would know of such things being available it would be most appreciated. You may wonder why I would bother with a MA, but it only has 30,000 and has after market leather interior.
